Last Man Standing

KUFC Fundraiser – Last Man Standing:
English Premier League 2014/15 Season
With the new season of the Premier League fast approaching Kinvara Utd FC are running a Last Man Standing competition and your support would be greatly appreciated
If you haven’t entered a ‘Last Man Standing’ before, here’s how it works:
Pay your entry fee at week 1 — no need to pay again. Some of the fee goes to support the club and the rest goes into the pot to be won. Each week, simply pick a Premier League team playing a match that week – if your team wins, you go through to the next round, lose or draw and you’re out.
You can only pick a team to win once in a competition, so you need to be tactical about who you pick and when.
The competition continues until only one person remains and wins the pot. Simple!
Entry Fee: €10
Prize money: Half of the pot collected up to a maximum of €500
How to enter: Text your name and your first round pick from the following list of fixtures to 086-6000844 no later than 12 noon on Saturday, 16th August
Arsenal v Crystal Palace
Burnley v Chelsea
Leicester City v Everton
Liverpool v Southampton
Manchester United v Swansea City
Newcastle United v Manchester City
Queens Park Rangers v Hull City
Stoke City v Aston Villa
West Bromwich Albion v Sunderland
West Ham United v Tottenham Hotspur
How to pay: Give your €10 to any of the team coaches to pass on to the competition organiser, Martin Gill. If you don’t know any of the coaches give it to a player to pass along. Alternatively, you can pay via PayPal at the following email
If you have any questions feel free to contact Martin on 086-6000844 or on facebook/martin.gill
Best of luck and thank you for participating!

  1. You must pick the winner of one (1) Premier League match each week. If your selection wins you progress to the next week, lose or draw and you’re out.
  2. Once a selection is made, you will not have the ability to change it.
  3. You may not pick the same team to win more than once during the competition (unless the competition progresses past 20 weeks).
  4. All selections must be received no later than midday on the day of the first match of the week. For midweek rounds where the first game kicks off at 7.45pm or later, all selections must be in by 7pm.
  5. Should you forget to make your selection in any week, you will automatically be assigned the first team that you have not selected in alphabetical order. Once a team is automatically selected, you will not have the ability to change the selection.
  6. In the event that any match involving a team you have selected is postponed or cancelled for any reason, you will continue to the next round. However, that team will no longer be available for selection.
  7. Should two or more participants remain standing and all are eliminated in the same week, the Last Man Standing prize will be distributed equally among them.
  8. Rounds of fixtures will take place on weekends where applicable. Mid-week fixtures may be included, at the discretion of the competition organiser.
  9. The competition will continue for a maximum of 20 rounds (each team being picked once). Should two or more participants remain standing after Round 20 the Last Man Standing prize will be distributed equally among them.
  10. The competition organiser reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. Any such revision will be binding and effective immediately on posting of notification of such changes on the web site and Facebook. Your continued use of this game will constitute acceptance of the rules.
