U15s vs Colga 18-02-2017

Kinvara U15 was managed by Liam Carroll today, who also provides this match report.

Good performance today. Ended 4-1. The half-time score was 1-0 with Harry Mulleady scoring a penalty. Sean Pearl, Harry Mulleady, Michael Corless and Daniel Connolly all going close. Ryan Waterhouse and Hugo Fossatti played good football on the wings. With both fullbacks Conor McGrath and Oran Frawley supporting the play really well.

We pressed them well with wind first half. After the restart Josh Medina did a Gareth bale run from inside his own half beat two defenders and slot the ball home. The colga team were resolute in defence and when the kinvara midfield players spread the ball wide into the channels kinvara stretched their defence. Josh after some very good interplay scored his second to put the tie to bed. The goal of the game came 15 minutes from the end. A colga attack broke down through great defending by a strong kufc defence, passing out to Michael Corless who spread the ball wide to Conor O’Dwyer who’s first time through ball set Josh through who calmly passed the ball into the net, to complete his hat-trick. Colga scored a good goal in the last ten minutes, but it was too late to affect the match. A strong display from everyone 1 to 15 in a kufc shirt.

The final result was: Kinvara 4-1 Colga.
